Summary: Management of the Procurement Life Cycle

Key Functions/ Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for procurement tasks throughout the life cycle of the project
  • Participation in development of accurate cost estimates for D,C,B and A budgets
  • Detailed understanding of current construction & procurement methodologies
  • Develop and manage cost-effective procurement strategies that will benefit our Clients & our company
  • Product Research
  • Value-Engineering
  • Skilled in negotiation
  • Utilizing industry-accepted methods in tendering; Timely collection and review of all tenders
  • Effective communication with all team members and stakeholders; working collaboratively toward the common goals of the projects and our company
  • Effectively communicate with trade contractors, suppliers during the tender/procurement life cycle
  • Part of the team leading our company in developing positive, long-term trade/supplier partnerships
  • Vetting of potential trade partners via our company pre-qualification process
  • Active participation in company initiatives to deliver best-in-class quality construction
  • Actively contributing to positive cashflow for the company and our clients
  • Close working relationship with both the Estimator and Project Management team
  • Preparation of scopes of work as defined by the Project Manager and general requirements of the company
  • Follow established record-keeping protocols for all procurement-related correspondence
  • Participation in weekly meetings as required
  • Complete other tasks as assigned


  • Minimum 5 years experience in procurement, preferably in the field of construction
  • Demonstrated multi-tasking ability; Detailed & Organized
  • Ability to work in fast-paced environment and effectively prioritize tasks
  • Must be able to work in a positive, effective manner with team members
  • Excellent time management and scheduling abilities
  • Strong organizational skills
